At Shri Ram Senior Secondary School, we welcome students from Pre-KG to Class XII, providing equal opportunities for learning and development. Our admission process is transparent, merit-based, and conducted as per the norms laid down by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.

General Admission Guidelines
  • Admissions are open to all eligible students, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or background.
  • New admissions are primarily available for Pre-Primary, Primary, and Upper Primary classes, subject to seat availability.
  • For Classes X and XII, admissions are granted only with prior approval from CBSE, which is obtained based on a formal request from the parent and student. These admissions are processed strictly in accordance with CBSE regulations.

From the preparatory level (LKG) onwards, admissions are granted based on written assessments and interviews to evaluate the readiness and aptitude of the child.

Admission Test
  • Students seeking admission to Classes I and above are required to appear for an Admission Test.
  • The test includes:
    • English
    • Mathematics
    • Tamil or Hindi (based on the second language preference)
  • The test content is based on the syllabus of the class previously completed by the applicant.
Oral Interaction / Interview
  • For Pre-Primary and lower classes, the assessment may involve a play-based oral test or interaction with the child and parents, focusing on communication skills, basic concepts, and school readiness.
Registration and Admission Process
  • Enquiry & Prospectus Collection: Parents may visit the school or contact the office to obtain information regarding admission and collect the prospectus.
  • Registration:
    • Interested parents must fill out the Registration Form.
    • Submission of required documents, including:
      • Birth Certificate (original and copy)
      • Transfer Certificate (for Classes II and above)
      • Passport-size photographs
      • Previous academic records and report cards
      • Address and ID proof of parents/guardians
  • Entrance Assessment / Interview: The school will schedule a date for the admission test and interview, based on the class applied for.
  • Confirmation & Fee Payment:
    • Selected candidates will receive an admission confirmation letter.
    • Parents are required to pay the admission fees and first-term fees within the stipulated time to secure the seat.
Important Notes
  • Admissions are granted strictly on merit and availability of seats.
  • The Principal’s decision regarding admission is final and binding.
  • Any attempt to influence the admission process will lead to immediate disqualification.
